In order to deliver the highest quality service, Specialty Medical Systems has partnered with established companies who are experts in video equipment repair. Each selected outsource partner operates under a Quality Assurance Program that meets or exceeds all industry Quality Assurance requirements. Each partner has been selected for their industry leading expertise and quality systems which allows SMS to offer the most advanced repair technology without compromise. Comprehensive repair and replacement capabilities include camera, couplers, light sources, processors, printers and light cords from all major manufacturers. Most repairs are completed in 5-7 days. Loaner equipment is available on most repairs with no charge to the customer. As technology continues to change, SMS continues to seek and provide the best repair solutions for all of its customers through these established, always evolving partnerships.
Repair Process
SMS receives a piece of video equipment for repair and logs it into its proprietary database. SMS is then able to view the device repair history on each particular piece to check warranty status. The database creates a work order and the piece is sent to one of our expert repair partners. An estimate of the repair cost is electronically generated and sent to the customer via email, direct web access, phone or fax. Once approved, the repair is completed, the work order is closed and the device is returned directly to the customer per the customer’s preferred method of shipment.

Specialty Medical Systems’ expert repair partners specialize in the repair of all types of video equipment. Whether it is a simple slice in a light cord’s sheathing to repairing a camera with fluid invasion, our partners have experience in all types and levels of repairs. Our partners have consistently provided SMS and many other Independent Service Organizations (ISO) throughout the US with quality repair capabilities. If one of our expert partners is unable to complete a repair because of part availability, SMS will return the piece to our customer or send it directly to the manufacturer – with no charge for shipping or handling!
