Specialty Medical Systems repairs all types of video equipment, including cameras, couplers, light sources, processors, printers and light cords from all major manufacturers. Loaner equipment can be provided for most repairs with no charge to the customer.
Repair Process
SMS begins the repair process by logging the piece of equipment into the database. By doing so, SMS is able to review the entire repair history of this particular piece. If the equipment has been repaired in the past it is checked for any applicable warranties. The repair is assigned to one of SMS’ repair technicians for evaluation. The repair technician begins by trying to recreate the problem detailed by the customer. Once a problem is diagnosed, the customer is notified and an estimate is given. Upon approval, the repair is completed. Every piece is given a final inspection prior to leaving the facility.
Repair Capability
SMS repair technicians have experience in all types of video equipment repair. Our technicians have training in repairs to cameras, couplers, light sources, processors, printers and light cords for all major manufacturers. Whether it is a simple slice in a light cord’s sheathing to repairing a camera with fluid invasion, SMS can repair your video equipment. Most pieces of equipment are returned within 5 to 7 days, with major repairs requiring additional time. If SMS is unable to complete the repair, the piece will be returned to the customer or sent on to the manufacturer with no charge to the customer.
