SMS repair technicians are the heart of the flexible endoscope repair department. Once the scope is checked in, they begin the repair - comparing the customer's complaint with the SMS 31 point check-in report and consulting with Mary Hall when necessary. From clogged nozzles and leaky bending rubbers to replacing all channels, light bundles and insertion tubes, SMS technicians are able to complete repairs on approximately 95% of the flexible endoscopes submitted for repair. If we are unable to complete the repair, the scope will be returned to the customer or sent on to the manufacturer with no charge whatsoever.
